This November, travel to Washington, DC, to embark on the Ultimate DECA Power Trip. Washington, DC, becomes an experiential learning landscape for DECA members as they experience and learn in the career areas of marketing communications, buying and merchandising, entrepreneurship, government, hospitality and tourism, and sports and entertainment marketing. Each DECA member will choose from one of ten itineraries designed to provide a day of educationally enriching experiences in the city and a day of powerful learning from professionals during engaging workshops. DECA members will participate in a competitive events series that will help them learn how they can earn recognition in DECA’s world renowned competitive events program. Plus, a professional development session will be designed especially for DECA advisors. The power trip will also feature two high-energy general sessions, a signature DC night tour, exhibits and corporate partners, and networking opportunities with members from the North Atlantic, Southern and Western Regions of DECA. Dynamic learning experiences, inspiring monuments and museums and the excitement of DC make this an experience you won’t want to miss.
This is the combined North Atlantic Region, Southern Region and Western Region Leadership Conference. |

This conference is a great opportunity for students to develop the leadership skills and better themselves as an overall person. This year it is going to be held in Montgomery, Alabama at the Renaissance Hotel on September 27-28. I want to encourage everybody to come. However, space is limited this year so chapters need to reserve their spots in advance. I hope to see you there!
